What if I have allergies or dietary requirements?

We’re happy to adjust. You’ll be asked for any allergies or dietary requirements at the time of booking. Dietary requirements, allergies and intolerances must be discussed prior to booking, and listed on the form at the time of booking in order for us to accommodate and alter the class to cater for you. Unfortunately some classes simply can’t accommodate some allergies.

What do I wear?

Our only requirement is that you wear flat, closed-toed shoes for safety.

Do I need to bring anything?

Just yourself! Our fabulous team and state-of-the-art studio will provide everything else you will need on the day.

Where do we meet?

We ask that all attendees arrive 15 minutes prior to the class starting time and meet just outside the lift on level 3 of the Breakfast Creek Lifestyle Precinct, 194 Breakfast Creek Rd, Newstead.

Is there parking available?

Yes. Attendees are able to park onsite at ground level. Enter via Durong Street.
Parking in Breakfast Creek Lifestyle Precinct now ordinarily requires payment after two hours. Please take a ticket to enter the carpark and bring this to us, and we'll swap it for an exit pass that will provide you with free exit (no payment required) after your class.

What is the cancellation policy?

At our cooking school, we strive to provide the best experience for all participants. We understand that unforeseen circumstances may arise, and we have established the following cancellation policy to ensure fairness and minimise waste and enable rostering. Please read this policy carefully before making a reservation. 

Refunds: Please note that we do not offer refunds for cancellations or vouchers. If you are unable to attend a class you are welcome to pass this on to another person to attend in your place, or on-sell.

Cancellation Notice: If you need to cancel your participation in a cooking class, we kindly request that you provide us with written notice of cancellation at least two weeks in advance to enable us to transfer you to another class. This notice should be sent to studio@lumierebrisbane.com.au. As a cooking school, we invest in fresh ingredients and materials for each participant, and rostering is completed minimum 2 weeks in advance, and last-minute cancellations can result in significant financial and material waste. Therefore, we are unable to transfer bookings within 2 weeks, and do not offer refunds.

Transfer of Reservation: If you are unable to attend a cooking class, but provide us with a cancellation notice at least two weeks in advance, we can offer the option to transfer your reservation to another available class within a three-month period. This transfer is subject to availability and must be requested at the time of cancellation.

Late Cancellations or No-Shows: Cancellations made less than two weeks before the scheduled cooking class or no-shows on the day of the class will not be eligible for a refund or transfer. We apologise for any inconvenience caused, but the short notice does not allow us to fill the vacated spot, resulting in wastage of ingredients and resources.

We highly recommend that you carefully consider your availability before making a reservation to avoid any inconvenience or financial loss. We appreciate your understanding and cooperation as we strive to maintain the quality of our cooking classes and minimize waste.

By booking a class with us, you confirm that you and all of your guests are and will be eligible to enter our premises as per pandemic-related restrictions that apply at the time of your class. Any guests that are not eligible to enter will be treated as a cancellation without notice.

VOUCHERS

Bookings using vouchers have to be done in separate transactions, that is: 1 voucher and person at a time. Please note the name of any other guest you would like to cook with on the day.

Please note Vouchers are non-refundable.

Can I book for a group?

Our public classes accommodate up to 16 people, so you may book as many spots as there are available for each specific class. Alternatively, we’re able to organise private classes for groups of 10-36 people.

When do bookings close?

To ensure ample preparation time, our bookings close 36 hours prior to the class start time.
